So I am putting my 110 together and when I try to click the U-tube into the impeller housing, it just sits on top with a little flat piece of black plastic and won't let me "click into place." Do I just let it sit on top without giving it any pressure or should i try to push it on? I just won't want to break this thing... The directions are pretty crappy because it doesn't show this black plastic piece on there. HELP!

u have to make sure the tube is pushed into place on the outside groove. sometimes u have to push it really hard, it will make a snap sound..

What's the plastic groove exactly? The only thing that snaps into place is the tube leading into the water. What I'm talking about is the piece of plastic that's covering the end of the tube going into the impeller, it just doesn't do anything but rest on top. The U-tube's mid section won't go down any further and I don't want to push down and force it on. The part that goes over the impeller moves back and forth a bit, does this sound right? Thanks!

i totally understand what ur problem is. im saying that if u dont push the tube into the outside groove, then the tube wont go completely down into the impeller housing.

the groove is the place where the tube fits into on the outside of the entire filter.

also, i would take it apart and try to rebuild it in different sequence, see if that helps.

I'm still having a hard time seeing what this groove piece is exactly. Here are a few pics I took. First one is the flat black piece I'm talking about and how it sits on the impeller, second is just the piece it's self on the tube and I see nothing to snap in, and third is the only thing on the whole unit I can see snaps into place... Is the 3rd picture what you're talking about? Because I can't push it down any further due to the middle of the U-shape resting ont he plastic that holds it on to the tank. Sorry for all the misunderstanding of your directions, I'm just VERY new to this all. Thanks again!

to me everything u have done seems correct. the thin part of the black adapter sits in the hole over the impeller. it doesn't really go deep into the housing. it hovers above the impeller really. i would put it together the best u can and give it a go. make sure to fill it with water before u plug it in.

if u test it out u will know for sure if it is put together correctly.
