Is it just me or did the sponges in the AC 110 change - like the holes got bigger on the replacement sponges?

yes I believe they have ,but there are other (better ) options for sponges.even the blue/white bonded pads from petsmart work well

Yeah all of the replacement sponges that I got also, have larger holes too.

Sponge is a good prefilter for the pads, never gets clogged!

Hmm.. I thought it was a fluke, I guess not. I may have to change my plans and use the Rena sponges instead and just stack them thicker.
