AquaClear making noises

The motor on my aquaclear filter is making noise and causing vibrations which I don't know if it is bothering my fish, but it's annoying the hell out of me.
I think the cause is the little spinning thing hitting the sides.
Anybody know how to fix this problem.

you could have something stuck in the impeller. maybe a rock or piece of sand or something. it doesn't take much to make noise. always clean the impeller when you change your media. it'll save you from having to get a new one in the long run.
