Best media filter sequence for an ac110??

I currently have bottom to top: the coarse pad it comes with, polypad (chair foam) biomaX that came with it and topped off with a little more foam pad.

I'm thinking of adding a second ac50 and just using coarse pad and fill the rest with biomax.

Thoughts??

I've always ran my AC110s with double foam, occasionally I'll had some filter floss between the two foams and it really polishes the water.

I don't use the carbon replace with floss. Placement
1. Foam
2.floss
3. Biomax

Foam, Floss, biohome ultimate. I wouldn't put anything on top of the biomax.

This is my method, and a coarse sponge on the uptake tube will give you more surface area and easier maintenance IMO.

I always ran the large foam pad that comes with it, and replaced the bio Medea with seachem matrix in a bio bag. large foams on the intakes.

When I ran one it was in conjunction with a fx5 on a 125. It was primarily for polishing so I had foam, a piece of 10micron felt, then biomax. Worked great since the sponge and felt could be sprayed off in the sink in under a minute while my python was doing its job.
