Aquael Turbofilter 1100

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just bougth a 55G and bought a Eheim 2213 for it. I love the first Eheim so much im probably going to stick with them for a long long time

i personally would stay away from any internal filters as your main source of filtration.

it might be ok for the bio-filtration (depending on the size), but it will do nothing for mechanical filtration.
also, this filter is nothing more than a powerhead connected to a box filter and a sponge. you could easily make one of these yourself. how much does this filter cost?
also, since its advertised as being for "chemical" filtration, the box filter is probably filled with ammo chips and carbon. you dont need either of these things in your filter.

As far as i can tell it's not coming with any media.
I was planning on getting getting a combo of a HOB for biological filtering, and a sponge filter for debree and polishing, but then i saw this little thing, that seems to have both bio capability, and an easy serviced sponge, along with a powerhead aswell. it's roughly 40$, and i was planning on taking eheim pro bio media from my canister and stuffing it with.
It will be a lightly stocked tank.

But still, no go?

Any other takes on this?
