hey i picked up an aqualog over the weekend, its worse than any catalog ive ever seen. i mean pic after pic, im overwhelmed. but it should come in very handy. i went to the midwest cichlid assoc expo 2007, it was pretty cool. it would have been even cooler had there been more sa/ca but it was mostly african. speakers were cool, and i did pick up some geos ( i split a group of six with mr firemouth) and some really cool albeit small red tiger motas from aquamojo, great guy btw. not a single pike there.

mine came with two pages of updates. i was under the assumption when new info was available you could call up and order the updates. there are multiple blank pages in the back for the stickers that make up the updates.

Not sure if there are any more updates at the moment, but I think thats the idea. I was wondering where this was going with pikes, lol...you seeemed to just be rambling on about it. They are great books indeeders, really need to get me one...lol

just page after page of pike pp its unreal. the edition i picked up is cichla, pikes, and geos mainly. worth every penny. they had a crencichla laminated poster for sale in the auction but i couldnt stay the extra day. it must have had 100 or better beautiful photos with ids.very cool.

Aye, I've seen both and have almost been tempted to get them on several occassions...but for some reason I find a way to resist. Perhaps one of these days I will give in and get me one....lol.

What did that aqualog cost you salty?? And where can we obtain this crenicichla poster from??

I bought both Aqualogs SA I & Sa III on aquabid. For pretty good prices. The prices were even better the last time I looked. HTH.......Keith

i may have overpayed not sure i paid 30, but its worth it. i think the poster was put out by them also it was def cool. there are species in the book i've never seen or heard of. plus there must be 4 variants of each, juvie pics, the works. these fish vary greatly from one spot to another. i knew they did but not to this degree.
