Aquamedic air driven skimmer

Anyone have any info on this type of protien skimmer? Likes, dislikes. Have one in my sump & I think its working..A small amount of gunk every day is acumulating.. Yep a noobie.... Have a 26 gal bow frt tank with live rock & live sand & 1 yellow tail damsel at the moment but plan on turning it into a Reef soon as I get rid of all the algie.... I know lights on for too long...Thanks

i'd prolly jus keep using it as long as its pulling good dark muck. i used one for a while and got nothing but a head ach. i ended up gettin a cpr but i'd get maybe a aquac remora or something better. a good skimmer does is good work. crummy skimmers leave worrying

Thanks, Its been running for about 3 weeks now, I guess its doing its job...0 nitrates, 0 nitrites,0 amonia....
