I recently noiced that I was getting nitrate spikes after doing water changes using AquaPlus as a water conditioner. I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this and had a similar experience using the seachem product 'Prime'

What he didn't say is that he is a victim of WCS. Wurm Conversion Syndrome! It's a disease that I inflict on you that causes you to use the products, techniques and methods that I do, because I have IAARS. I AM ALWAYS RIGHT SYNDROME. LOL
ive been using aqua plus for the past 2-3 yrs and have never had that problem. I havent tried prime but by the statements made by the users its seems pretty good.
I'm doing a trial using Prime and so far have not seen the same problem with nitrates that Aqua Plus was causing. It may have to do with the fact that you need a lot less prime to condition the water and as it breaks down there is less nitrate residue.
In Canada at first glance the Nutrifin product looks a lot cheaper but because you add more per water change it turns out to be more expensive to use than the Seachem product
