do you think a aquarium 4 feet by 4 feet is a good product vs 180 or 220 gallon?

All depends on what you want to do with it. It would make a good ray grow out, or would be good for a few big fish. It would be really cool for a sw tank with a mountain on rock in the middle. Personally I really like 180g though unless you can come up with a really cool use of a square. Im trying to picture my 500g cut in half and idk what I'd do with it

You will need more than a 220 to keep them for life. Think more along like 8x3x2 360g as minimum for life and even then idk about the tsn. Depending on type of bass, they can get big. The oscars and jag, any tank you mentioned will be ok. The gar should be ok but idk how big they get
