I hate to ask another "is this aquarium big enough for this stingray" because I know you get those all the time. But, is a 180 gallon that is about 3 1/2 ft long by almost 3 ft wide big enough for a motoro and a smaller stingray, for life? Thanks!
Is this for the motoro or for any ray species because I thought the main issue was width so I thought this tank was big enough. Wow, I'm glad I decided to wait a few days before buying it.
Well even though I would deffinitly love a black ray, realisticaly I probly will never have one. I don't think my hubby would be ok with dropping that much (anything over $200) on one fish. So, to clarify, a standard 180 is wide enough to be a permanent home for a motoro with one smaller ray?
No a full grown motoro will out grow a 180 in 2-3 years. Motoro can reach over 20 disc size and with the tail could easily be 30"+. I would stick with retic rays they stay small and could put a few in a 180. A 180 would be ok for short term but a motoro will out grow the tank at full size.
Well like i said, glad i didnt buy the tank! i will wait until one of the appropriate size (at least 6ft long by 3ft wide) becomes available in my area because i've got my heart set on a motoro
