aquarium brace protector

I recently got a used 210 gal tank and the previous owner had cut out the two plastic center pieces. I'm currently using two large woodland clamps but I'm looking to repair the braces soon. I was wondering if any on here has used an aquarium brace protector before. I'm also looking for any direction on repairing the braces.

Never heard of an aquarium brace protector. What is it and what does the brace need protection from?

It's for an aquarium brace that is cracked or broken. Cost the same as the glass that I could silicone in place of the missing braces. Just wondering if it holds up with large aquariums. I'm trying to score a broken aquarium with 3/8 or 1/2 thick glassfor free or cheap. Right now I'm using long F clamps.
