I think it filters the water as it cleans the tank and you reuse the water.

I paid around $200. I think it's called "American Cleaning Machine" by Ancient Mariner. It's practically brand new and I would continue using (it does a great job on my 180 gallon) it if it weren't for my arthritis.

hmmm i will definately consider on buying due to having problems with my current siphon both python and my other hand squeeze one.

o cool : D so tis pretty much sucks water in through that gravel vac end... then filter out all those debris that was in the gravel.... then take out the toxin such as nitrate n stuff... then pumps bak in???? rite??
