I might be posting this in the wrong area, and my attempt will probably be fruitless.

I live in Memphis TN, and was looking for some local fish keeping clubs. I tried google searches and it seems all that came up were of posts from years ago. There is a Marine and Reef club, but I am strictly FW.

Any of you from this area?
Any of you know of any clubs?
Any of you know of an easy tool to reach out to other fish keepers in your area?

I did many different searches to find one here in Oklahoma. Oklahoma fish club, Oklahoma aquarium club...the list goes on, using different words like "society" or "enthusiasts."

Good luck on finding something near you! With the current economic problems, I think more and more people are dedicating less and less of their time/$$ to a "frivolous" hobby.

Off topic: I just noticed your signature...I have two trees growing in my brackish tank. Am I doing it wrong? lol.

Haha, not at all. The original thread was ages ago and the guy wanted to put a branch that broke off his tree during a storm or something into his tank. Whoever wrote the response I quoted succeeded in making me laugh.
