Well folks Im getting ready to start up my 75. Finally have all I need as far as equipment goes so we are down to decorations. This will be a Green Terror and a friend or two's tank so plants are out of the questions. Im looking for suggestions (with pictures) of things I can do. I'm thinking driftwood and rocks, with a sand substrate. Something simple, natural looking and cheap. Actually planning on going down to the river possibly?? No bubble treasure chests!! :grinno: Lets see what you guys got!

If this is your first cichlid tank, I would suggest going straight into a breeder's look..No substrate, means no gravel at all.........Having a clear floor allows all the sediment to keep floating to the intake of your prized filter.............No substrate guarantees less mess, which means better quality.............All you need in the tank is clay pot laying on its side.........Of course you can stick a few rocks in the tank with some driftwood, but this also increases the chances of the young fighting fish to get scratched up during the first few months together...........I would suggest putting in the decorations once a pair or a single speciman is chosen from the juvenile group...........Remember it is best to purchase at least five 1-3 inch long juveniles to start off a good relationship of fish...........A pair will develop within 3-6 months..........

Myself I like black gravel just enough to cover the bottom. Also like a few large pieces of bogwood to give it an Amazon look to it, I hate rocks and never use them just gravel and bogwood.
