I'm using Nutrafin Plant Gro Iron Enriched aquatic plant fertilizer, anybody have any experience with this product? Or any better advice on a better product to use. The plants are doing great so far. And so are the fish!! I'm excited for what's gonna happen when I add more fish.

Flourish Excel. Only liquid fert you need. The Iron-heavy liquids just breed algae.
Not true. In order to keep plants growing healthy, you need the proper mix of NPK (most basic fertilizers), micro-nutrients, co2, and lighting. If you have a pressurized co2 kit, and keep your levels right, then you have to have other ferts, or you will still get algae. Excel can be completely removed from a good planted tank.

Plus Excel is a carbon source for plants not a fertilizer.

The only nutrient that Excel provides for plants is carbon. To grow very well plants must have sufficient macronutrients (N,P & K) and micronutrients, especially iron.

I plan on setting up a CO2 system soon, just wanted to get fish, after watching an empty tank for 4 weeks, I was in a hurry to get fish to look at when my cycle finished. The plants are doing very well so far, and I actually wanted to grow a little algae... My Otos don't eat the algae disks and I'm nervous that they aren't getting enough food...

They're small fish and they don't need a lot to eat so don't worry if they are fat you are fine.
