aquarium help

I have a 35 gal hex with mirror on 3 sides. I had put salt water in it at one time for a short while and it ate the mirror away on the top corners. I would like to scrape off the rest of the mirror but wasnt sure if this would damage the integrity of the tank.
Would anyone know if this is a good idea or if there are other suggestions I could try?

I have no idea, but I would talk to shops that cut acryllic. They may know a safe substance.

My tank is in storage. Since Im in a rental currently I wasn't going to worry about it yet. But seeing everyones gorgeous fish, Im wanting to play too. LOL I really wish I could set up the big tanks again.
