some where over the rainbow
went to the aquarium in boston today and it SUCKED!!! i am only a fresh watter keeper(would kill all salt) They didnt have what they claimed they had on their website , had 4 motoros, 1 big lechardi (spelling) aro, 2 big pacu, 1 big red tailed cat, and a group of piranah, oh and 2 longnose gars which looked to me to be alagators. Claimed they had a silver aro and a ornate birchir but couldend find them... so i was very dissapoined. i felt bad for the redtailed cat and aro, they realy didnt have enough room to move around. so i guess what my question is, is there any good freshwatter exibits in NH, MA, ME, RI, CT? that anyone has went to or knows of.

that sucks.. I'll be going to the Brooklyn aquarium when i go visit the US of A in september is that any good? Sorry can't help out with much

Yeah that would have been annoying.
If and when i own my own aquarium store...its going to have a display room set up as if a public aquarium only small scale....eg some biotope (not sure if this is propper word...but you know natural type setups with fish from same area in same aquarium.

i'd love to own my pet own pet shop. But the fish shop market is so competitive in Hong Kong i'll need to think of something that stands out. And yeah biotope is the right word

god, theres so many people on here that talk about opening a aquarium/fish store. if all of us teamed up we could make a super aquarium lol.

i donthavent been to any aquariums in new england but if you drive for about 10 hours, your in aquarium heaven. the midwest is full of public aquariums. st. louis, memphis, nashville, shedd, new port, arkansas, etc.

There is a tank with walruses in Coney Island aquarium. The male walrus likes to scare children and masturbate his, second in size member of the animal kingdom, in front of everybody. You'll get your money's worth.

too bad the boston aquarium has sucked out. favorite place during my childhood visit to the city.

There aren't too many places out there that will do freshwater well when they also feature saltwater. I can think of only a handful in the US.
