Aquarium Lid connector

I need some help. I noticed my tank needed a cleaning, so I got up early this morning to clean it. When I went to remove one of my lids, the connection between the two glass pieces broke. How can I go about fixing this? I am looking to replace the connection with something stronger than plastic. Thanks in advance.

Order new ones, or find plastic/nylon hinges at a hobby shop/craft store to glue on.
Or use nothing at all, just lift out the panel instead of opening it.

Hope your not looooozn any sleep over it. Tis the nature of da BEAST. Happens to the best & if thats your biggest problem, throw a party & celebrate, lol
