Is there a good programmable timer out there that lasts more than 6 months. My 135g has 4 light fixtures that I use for daylight/nightime lighting & have tried a few timers that just don't last. Any recommendations.

what kind are you using? i use these cheap mechanical timers that cost $5-7. been using the same ones for years and i never had one fail

I use something similar, made by Marineland . . . easy to find at the LFS, think they cost less than $10 . . . never had a problem

The older intermatic timers lasted for years for me.I burned through a few of tem recently though.I went to home depot and got the heavy duty outdoor digital timer about a year or so ago and am very happy with it.

Mines in a humid fishroom running multiple lights though.

Where did you find that in home depot?
