hi,

the lights i've got in my aquarium are well bright so i leave them turned off. does anyone know of any tubes that just give off a dim glow or of anything i can do to dim the ones i've got? i want lights in my aquarium but i don't want to blind the little fellas.

what do you guys do for lighting if anything?

cheers:)

what kind of tubes are you using now?

i've got 2 x 25w tubes, not sure what type but the light they give off is a very bright white light without sounding stupid. i've covered them up with grey electrical tape and it's dimmed them quite a bit but i'm not sure how much light is too much light.

how big is your ballast?
if your running more than one bulb then you could try taking one out, and with a little mirror shift it to the dark side, effectively splitting your light in half.
just an idea.
