In my tank I have a few nocturnal fish, and I would LOVE to observe them when they are active, but to do this I obviously need light. If I turn on the lights or hold a light up to the tank they immediatly bolt! Are there aquarium lights that I can use and turn on during the night that the fish wont be able to see so they will stay out when its on and act normal?

Coralife makes a t5 h.o light fixture that has lunar lights on it. The lights are just blue leds which is supposed to mimic the moon. Im pretty sure it you buy that fixture or probably just any blue led you shouldnt frighten your fish. Just curious, what fish do you have that are nocturnal?

I have a Plecostomus and a Amazon Red Tail Catfish. I also have a Marble Gar but he's obviously more active in the daytime, they are all currently quite small and will eventually need to be in larger tanks but as of now they are perfectly fine. Thank you for the help!

I've always wanted lunar lights, but haven't had the money to drop on them... jw what size tank are they in now and do you have a pond for the catfish in the future? :)

Ive got them in a 55 gallon right now and yes I'm am prepared for that thing to get monstrous and eat me outa my car lol, how much do the lights run?

By Amazon RTC I am assuming you are talking about the S.A. RTC(black, white, orange) He is gonna eat your pleco and gar so be ready. Just trying to help.
