I set up a hard plastic wadding pool outside. It's about 4.5 feet in diameter. I'm just experimenting with it. I'm doing it for fun but I would like to maybe sell off some of the extra plants at the end of the year. Any recommendations on aquarium plants to grow outside? Since I live in Michigan I think I would have only about 5 months of grow time. The water can only be about 8-9 inches deep. Here are some of the prohibited plants in Michigan http://www.michigan.gov/invasives/0,5664,7-324-68002_71240_73848---,00.html I'll check it myself as well, if you just want to list plants

Today I added some extra plants I had laying around. I added a little java moss, some small marimo moss balls, some small windelov java fern plantlets, and some duck weed. Since some nights are still low as 46-50(8-10 Celsius) I was probably stupid putting the java moss and java fern plantlets out, but I only put a few and I have a bunch of extra.

I also have some dwarf swords(not sure the species), dwarf rotala, and water wisteria in my aquariums.

I don't plan to keep any fish out there

More of a question of what you can't grow, most water plants should do well. Haha If you know of a specific plant, ask away.

Thanks, all I can think of atm are the plants I already have and red root floater(Phyllanthus Fluitans) Only floating plants I've grown are duckweed and Amazon frogbit. They were both easy to grow. Not sure if red root floater is much harder to grow. Would love Amazon frogbit as well but a Department of Natural Resources naturalist I talked to discouraged all frogbit, even though I don't think Amazon frogbit is on any Michigan banned lists(European frogbit is though).
