Ok so for my new stingray tank I'm trying to decide what to use for gravel/sand. I want to keep the cost down so that I can spend my money on other things. A quick search on lowes website has brought up some gravel at really cheap prices. Do you think that these would be aquarium safe?

I like that one because with having rays I wouldn't be able to have really any decorations and that is a red color, so it would add a lot of color and would really bring the color out in the rays

that is just regular pea gravel, not as colorful as the first

just regular river pebbles, a little more gray than the pea gravel and a little bigger

-and the other thing that I would want would be pool filter sand, I don't really like the pool filter sand though because it always gets caught in my filters, the light color shows all of the poop in the tank and I just like the look of gravel best. So far I like the first, red color rock the best. What do you think would look the best or bring the rays colors out the best? Thanks

EDIT:
just realized that you need to copy and paste to get the links to work

The red is Lava rock i think or smashed brick i would be carfule with that esp with Rays i have herd of people useing the PeaGravel so you could go with that. In my brothers tank he uses Large River rock so i think you could use that. i would just watch out for the first one Lava Rock or Bricks would cut a ray and be uncomfortable. GL with your Project thing mabob

Thanks for the reply it actually says that the first one is pennsylvania red stone. Your right though I probably shouldn't choose that one just to play it safe. I like the river pebbles better than the pea gravel because I don't really like the look of smaller rocks, so I will probably go with the river pebbles.
