Hi,

I have 2 pregnent guppies and 2 pregnent platys. I cant afford a new tank or a breeding tank so I was thinking of putting the mothers in a plastic container with a few small holes (small enough so the fry cant get out but big enough so water enters and exits). However, the container has been washed with soap and been inside a dish washer. Is there any way I could clean it with something to free it of all residues and make it totally safe for the aquarium?

Just rinse it really well. You could even soak it in a bucket of water for a while if you want, but I think it should be ok as long as it's been rinsed
