Does anyone add salt to there freshwater stingray tanks? I know salt is good for other freshwater fish but does it go well with rays? I have read Ross's book on keeping rays and it talks about salt but it really doesn't say either way. I usually add 1 tbsp per 10 gallon with my other fish but have stopped since I put rays in my tank. Any one have an opinion on this matter?

yes... salt is good 
most of us use it to medicate as well, since rays normally dont take chemicals very well, just make sure when u add the salt you put it in a bowl and let it disolve into water before putting it in the tank... rays can burn themselves from the salt, but it is good

Matter of ray keepers opinion. I also add salt but theres also a theory that salt is not needed given that the waters that they are from tend to be super clean given the heavy rainfall of their origins.
