So my arowana has fin rot in my tank and I have a motoro stingray in the tank so I wanna treat the tank since I don't have a space tank... It's a grow out 125 for my 476 how much aquarium salt should/can I add ?

dunno about the salt ratio, but i have definitely read something about it somewhere here!!! scour through the threads, or try a "search"... specifically try going through the "Freshwater Diseases and Health Issues" section!!!

i think a lot of these ailments/diseases/infections can b prevented/controlled simply by installing a UV sterilizer!!! Zap 'em!!!

I've had 5kg of salt in my 475 with leo, pearls and a motoro.. Not a single problem.. I also have a snakehead, l25, l95 and bichirs.. Not recommended for a long period but absolutely long enough to treat the fin rot..

use a tupper container to give the aro a salt dip. way easier and cheaper. you add 1 teaspoon per gallon of water and let the fish sit in it for 30 mins or less. if he starts losing his equilibrium then you need to remove him. Doi some research first before going with my instructions though its been a while since i last did a salt dip.

* repeat as needed once a day until he's fixed

Salt dips seem like more of a hassle and stress the fish out removing him everyday just to soak in salt for 30 mins a day and adding more stress could make things worse.... Acclimating and removing the fish is not worth it..... I'm just gonna treat the 125....

ppt is parts per thousand

I'd never start adding salt without a way to measure the level in the tank (refractometer, hydrometer etc...).
