aquarium salt for sh's??

i was wondering if i could add some aquarium salt for freshwater fish in my sh tank? i heard from someone that its bad for the snakeheads. i have a widebar with the sh's. i heard salt is good for them. anyone know???

I have not kept them but I have heard the same thing about them being salt sensitive.

i heard the same thing, after I added salt to my bleheri tank. i lost 5 and moved the last survivor to a saltless tank. hes doing great! others have said that they add salt to their SH tanks with no ill effect, but i think it may affect juvies more than adults. be safe and dont try it

i'ev had mixed experiences. Once i added salt my SH was fine. another time i did it to another one and it died..

ya, thats what ive heard. but i dont think i would ever try salt again. SH's are too rare around here to risk experimenting which individual fish can tolerate it

Your dat will like the salt, but will not need it. Salt isnt good for SH imo.
