Aquarium Salt in Ca/Sa Cichlid Tank?

i Was just looking around and found that some people use aquarium salt in their cichlid tanks. Just wandering if anyone here puts a lil salt in their tank and if so how much? Also what are the benefits?

You dont need salt in the tank, Fishes do well in normal water. I never use salt in a tank.
use it only when i suspect any outer infection.
