Does aquarium salt harm apple snails?

Why are you going to add salt? Salt can harm the snails. They will tolerate it temporarily provided it is dissolved. If you are treating for ich, just isolate the snails away from the treated main tank.

Since I've been using it I can't seem to keep them alive. They thrive in my unsalted planted tank.

Why are you using salt? I would use this only for ich outbreaks if this does happen.

hasn't anyone heard of the whole slug and salt mix? snails and salt are not far off

I had to move my injured needlefish into the snails 10 and I wanted to add salt to help it heal but I was pretty sure salt would hurt the snails so I asked

Just do daily water changes. I don't use salt for injuries or ragged fins myself.
