I just had some calico convicts that spawned and i was wondering if i can put aquarium salt in the community tank that they're in?

When doing water changes when I had convicts spawn I always added the recommended dosage of aquarium salt and never had a problem. However I dont know the ideal salinity for convict spawn and it is possible to stress them if it is too far off. Not a solid answer I know, but Ive never seen anything on recommended salinity for convict spawn
How many days should i add salt? Im just planning to add half the required amount. I just wanna add it for 3 days then take a break then add again after a week.
