Anyone use this in replacement of the expensive aquarium salt?? Is this the right kind?

just make sure it pure salt with no additives and there shouldnt be any problems. i have never used it before though.
As long as the ingredient says NaCl (and only NaCl)it is simply salt.
I don't know the bag you show, but I use the kind for water softening, because it is considered potable for human use, meaning any extra trace ingredients are considered drinkable.

On both the site and packaging it says 99.6% pure salt, and it DOES NOT contain iodine.. Is this the right kind of salt for aquarium?

as long as you are using it for medication. i would deffinately not use that for creating a saltwater enviroment. ocean water contains more than just salt. there are other elements in it. instant ocean is all i would use to create a brackish or marine enviroment.

No I'm not using it to create a saltwater tank.. Just to get rid of ick and other parasites.. Treating 180g can get expensive if I'm buying regular aquarium salt.

Bbortko, how much do you use per gallon? Same as regular aquarium salt? 1 TSP per 5g of water? If so how much should I put for 150g?
