i am trying to use Aquarium Sealant from Petsmart to glue driftwood to slate. Is that even going to work? If not let me know a better way off putting those 2 together.

Should work fine. I personally drill the wood and the slate, and then would put a dowel pin in the hole.

I drill holes in the slate and use stainles steel screws. Make sure the screw is full stainless and not just coated.

should work if not try ti drill it thats what i did

i was wondering about this too. What kind of drill bit do you need?? a masonary one??

I have a big piece of grapevine i want to attach to some slate. I have soaked it in a tub for a loonnng time and it stilll floats. If i take it to a hardware store do u think they would drill it for me?? I dont have any power tools.

how thick is the slate

havent bought the piece of slate yet, i'd say prob about a centimetre. I guess thinner would be better?? After the slates been drilled, you just drill the stainless steel screw into the wood and that will hold it??

Its a thick log type piece of grapevine I want have standing upright. the bottom is flat.
