Aquarium sealant question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have used this. besides aquariums, i wouldn't use this brand for sealing other things like PVC and vinyl. GE makes many many many types of sealent. Ge 1 and 2. and they have sealent that can do a better job on those sorts of applications. not saying it won't work, but i would try other sealents.

wish i could help, but i have found it hard to find GE 1 around me. at home supply store like lowes or home depot, you can get them from $4-6- small tubes. not 10.3 ounces.

Silicone wont seal on pvc, take it from being around pools for many a years. Silicone wont seal acrylic either

ithurtz is right silicone does not seal any sort of plastic. most pople use a uv glue which seals to both materials gloass and pvc weather or not its is as strong as silicone to glass i dont know but its stronger then sealent to pvc. i dont know what plumber glue is but htat works pvc to pvc. also the best ge silicone is ge construction scs-1200
