My plan is to take some broken peices of spanish roofing tile and affix pebbles all over them so they look more natural and there aren't sharp edges that might cut my critters. I would also like to use it to create a rock tower with the top peice being plastic (i dunno what kind of rocks they are) I would also like to silicone a large plastic rock near the top of the tank for my fiddler crabs. Are any/all of these projects doable?
 
That might work for the tiles and pebbles but for the rocks, I recommend using epoxy putty and some AC glue. The reefers do this all the time. I also use the AC glue to attach java ferns and anubias to rocks. It's actually fun! Take a look at a rock structure I made recently:
