Hello everybody, I’m new in this forum. After looking for a while within the cichlids section I discover some members with large aquaria. Unfortunately (following a patient reading over different threads with my slow internet connection of 28.8 Kbps) I still don’t know the size of PeacokBass (2000gal) and ashdavid (1850gal) tanks.

I think that for us that keep large cichlids in large set ups it is crucial to know the aquarium size where these fish swim (as much as the population number and the individual lengths). Mainly because in this area of large fish keeping, volume does not mean much by it self. A 68”x 68”x 68” tank (aprox. 1360 gal) will not obtain the same results than a 200”x 48”x 32” (aprox. 1330 gal) when dealing with Parachromis spp. (for example)

So, I encourage the forum members to take a second and write the tank size next to the volume. Thanks.

Hey man 56k modems go for like 10 bucks these days.. where do you live? I got like 3 modems I do not need...

I have a new HP... Unfortunately I live in a kind of "remote area" and the phone cable won't allow me to go in a higher connection. Hopefully (as per neighbors conversation) cable-Internet will be soon available. Anyways, I hope so if I want to keep posting in this forum, because it takes me 2 to 5 minutes to download every single thread – page.

Thank you anyhow Vitaliy for the modem offer… ;-)

Welcome to the site, Your modem works for me, I'll just type slowly. :y220d:

I feel much better now knowing that the members will “type” in slow fashion… Being that the case and considering all pros- and cons- I decided to stick for a while in this site ;-)
