My tank had a small leak that I just noticed. It made one corner buckle a bit from water damage because it was compressed wood. Can I, cut a board from plywood, the same dimensions as the top of the stand, and rest the tank on that? I think since the tank wont no longer be sitting on the stand top, but the new board it should hold fine. Any opinions?

PS

At this time I cannot afford a new stand. Leak was fixed also.

yeah should work as a temp fix..

2x4s are like $3 at homedepot

If the stand is still level and not warped it should be fine. Just add the plywood sheet. Also make sure there is no rot to the structural support.
