Does anyone have advice on aquarium storage?
I'm moving in a couple of months and came across a deal for a tank that won't fit where I currently live. Is it safe to store it in an unheated garage during the winter? I know that the freezing pint of silicone is -55 C so I'm safe that way but I'm curious if it affects adhesion.

I tried searching but didn't come across an answer.

Thanks in advance!

I think you should be fine. We leave some of our empty tanks in the attic and we haven't had any issues with the temperature fluctuations....yet. lol

I usually recommend wetting the inside with a spray bottle every so now and then on the silicone to prevent leaks, so it's not so dry with all the temperature changes in the garage, but if not i guess you can always use aquarium sealent if there happens to be a leak later on haha.

Silicone is meant to repel water as much as bond the panes. I don't think wetting them down will add any benefit.
