Aquarium styrofoam

What is the name of the 1" or so thick styrofoam you're supposed to put between your tank and stand to even out the weight? I would like to pick up a sheet at Home Depot on the way home from work today.

Any kind works, but I used 1" thick dense stuff (pink) for my 240 gallon.

i have never seen that done before there is no styrofoam under my tanks and all is well.

I used 1" insulation under my acrylic. I think the pink stuff is basically the same as what I have.

go to homedepot lowes where ever any construction supply and ask for pink board 1 inch or 2 inch i used to under mine usually sold in 2x8 or 4x 8 sheets

Here are a couple types to consider

Molded Expanded Polystyrene Foam Board
MEPS foam board

Extruded Expanded Polystyrene Foam Board
XEPS foam board
More expensive, higher compressive strength than MEPS

Yup. Hopefully this week it will be up and running. Its been a long time coming.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I stopped by home depot and picked up a sheet of the styrofoam insulation. I went with a denser sheet than the pink stuff. I forget what the brand name was though.
