Hey everybody! Hope you are having a great weekend. Thought I'd reach out to see who out there had a webcam on their aquarium(s).
I recently set one up using Yawcam. Pretty easy to do. Now I can sort of "nanny cam" my tank when I am not in that room. Gives me a little satisfaction since there is a little pbass aggression at times going on.
With Yawcam you can broadcast to the internet or record videos or pics.

So chime in. Anybody with a webcam on tank?

After one too many over flows, a few yrs back my wife bought me a cam to set up in front of my tanks when doing water changes. That's the only time I use the cam, but it's paid for itself many times over.

This guy has one on YouTube. I play it on a second monitor while I work sometimes. It's the next best thing to having a nice tank.

Zetlight had a aquarium webcam that connected to your phone so you could monitor and record videos on the fly while away from your tanks... im almost sure you could even remote control the cam to move along the panel of glass its attached to for better viewing...

I always thought that was a pretty neat system except i dont think it was exactly cheap back then or even now...

I just used the webcam on a laptop I have. So it was essentially free. It is a novelty for showing off the tank but I really like that I can check the tank when I am in another room doing other things. You can do it on the home network or broadcast on the internet.

I’ve heard of a lot of people using things such as nanny cams or old laptops in the past as well... i mean if its laying around gathering dust then why not lol...
