I have neglected my tank over the past few years and all my wood used to aquascaped was just lying on the bottom. Yesterday I redid some of the aquascape and would like some feedback and any advice to improve it. Such as fill in empty spaces, add more branches or remove stuff.

In the pictures you can see 2 rock piles. I was thinking of extending the rock piles along the whole wall. It will have a jetty look. The rocks will be a little smaller and won't come out as much as the two current piles. Will it look good or no? I am worried about water displacement. I don't want to lose to much due to the extra rocks.

I think the piece taking up the upper left side is out of place because it's almost balanced, I think it would look better slightly more angled so it doesn't look so flat.

Aquascaping is all about whatever visually pleases you. But lining the rocks up against the back wall would look good in my opinion or having the piles on opposite sides of the tank equally aligned . I like the balanced looking aquascaping myself but it all comes down to what you like.

Yeah everyone has a different eye for scape.I like none symmetric look.you could pile wood from top down,I like the rock pile idea, simple live plants,or good silk, fake plant adds green.I collect driftwood, find a thick, root center piece type or hollow log
