Quarantine Tank
Do you ray owners ever feel like you have sacrificed aquascaping in order to help ensure the safety of your rays?

I have yet to really see a fully developed aquascaped ray tank... :(

Anybody have one? Can it be done safely?

Lets see some pictures please! :stingray: :stingray: :stingray:

there was someone here with a motoro and a fire eel i think, and he had a well aquascaped tank, would be good to see some full tank shots though

Personally I would use a lot of drift wood but allowing for enough room for your rays to swim, if you want plants i would get stuff like anubias and java that can grow right on the wood itself.

are there any other plants that will grow soley on the driftwood?

Agreed its more of a space issue, so unless you have like a 500plus tank its often hard to place things like driftwood etc. in a ray tank.

yeah.. i want to put more driftwood and maybe some plants to the side but id rather have the rays have more room than the tank looking good.

its more of a water circulation thing for me decor traps lots of bits of food and the rays will move them around trying to get to the scraps of food which means you have a chance of you tank getting smashed when the rays move around bid rocks

This is a little off topic, but seems like a good place to ask it. Is it true that you need a tank with a width of atleast 24" to keep rays? :(
