aquascaping 150g tall oscar tank

Hello all,

I was wondering what you guys think I should do for like substrate and that for a oscar community tank? I like the way tile looks and I think itd be easier to clean with the messy oscar. I was just wondering what you guys think I should do. I dont really want sand although I love the way it looks I dont want to wash it and its expensive... let me know

yeah but i have sand in my 55g and when i try to clean it I suck the sand up and out my window or into my sink. and I heard its a pain to wash. My said I got was cichlid sand and it came prewashed and said not to wash it but that was $30 for like a 20lb bag lol

Pros and cons for different substrate and personal preference on what you choose

if you do end up using gravel just make sure its not sharp

i dont have one yet. i plan on getting one of those rare bumblebee tigers
