I was looking at my tank and realized that it has had the same layout for some time. I fiqured that I would plop an old deer antler into the tank.....
Thoughts???

I have a 4 foot long elk antler that is going into my 180g when I get it set back up.
(basement reno's have forced the fish upstairs)

And the tank looks nice too :)

Great sub for a driftwood. And the antler will last much longer than any piece of wood.

Not to sure about this. Antlers are mostly calcium, not sure how this will affect the water. I would use something to seal the base area of it, the outside will last a long time but the breakdown of it will come from the inside material of the horn.

Calcium in actually in seaweed and many green leafy veggies. I know many people feed those foods to their fish. Calcium helps prevent strong bones but vitamin D is needed to help absorb calcium. I have never heard of negative efffects of calcium. But then again this is fish........
