I have the blue aquatic garden bulb and was wondering how good my plant will do if I just give it 12 hours of light and 12 hours of night and nothing else. Is it necessary to get co2 and all that. I see live plants in random tanks at the LFS and they just have regular light on them and they seem to do fine but I always here on this forum that you need co2 and all kinds of technical things to have live plants. Whats the word? How good will a plant do if I just toss it in my already established tank with an aquatic garden bulb?

Not sure where you have been reading, but the plants survival will depend on many factors. The biggest factor is the type of plant you get. Read the stickies, as they were written to help teach the basics.
