i was at petco the other day and they had some lily bulbs (not dwarf) and i have never seen or heard of growing lilies from dried bulbs before, is it possible? should i try it?

I agree, go to wal-mart & pic some up in their aquarium section if you want to try them...u can normally get a bag with several in there for around $2...some will grow, some won't - but that way u r not out much $$ ;)

i wish the walmart would stock the dwarfs again, it hasnt been stocked for a while, ill try to get the lily bulbs and see how it goes.

In my experience, they grow so slowly it's not worth it.

eh? it may start kinda slow, but once they sprout (in a couple weeks), you should see a new leaf a week, and considering the leaves grow large, that's fairly fast.

This depends on the setup. My 135 will send up the first leaves from one of those bulbs in only 2 days, and in 5 days I'll have 6-8 leaves. Under the right conditions these things don't stop.
