thank you for sharing this site!fascinating pictures!question-all these pictures people take-are they"worked on"photo shopped etc?or do these cameras turn anyone into a proffessional photographer?I mean these pics are unreal!

Which pictures are you referring to? The pics on aquatic-photography.com?

If so, yes some of the guys there are pros. Most are hobbyists with really good camera gear. Photoshop is always part of the development process but most of those guys are way too proud to alter their photos to the point where the photo becomes something else.

Camera gear only gets you so far. Photoshop only gets you so far. Set up (cleaning glass,etc) , composition and knowing what the camera will do incertain conditions are what this hobby is mostly about.

There is a lot of pride in producing top notch photos with very little post-processing. I know these things because I'm a moderator on that site. ;)
