Aquatic Turtle Temperature

I'm gonna get a heater that will get the water to 78F.
but vicious, what temperature did you say to set..when I said my turtle whistles while breathing.
did you say 80~82F?

what do you think the normal temperature should be for a Sonora Mud Turtle?


and what was the basking area temp. supposed to be?

The temperatures you have listed above are fine. If your turtle isn't sick, you can keep the water temp around 76F. Basking area temp can be in the mid 80's to low 90's.

So should I make it to around 80F for a few weeks then lower it to 78F?
I don't hear the whistling as much these days...even thought the temperature currently is is 73~74F
