Aquatic Turtles?

I have a 40 gallon (151 liters) tropical aquarium with 25 fish in it (platys, tetras, loaches). I was wondering if I could add some kind of aquatic turtle to the mix.

I know they are hard to care for and require something to sit on in order to bask, but is there any kind of small sized turtle that would work in my tank?

Well...
You'd have to fill the tank up 3/4 of the way, add a basking dock and light. You could get a musk or spotted turtle. But beware, once it grows it will eat slower fish.
