has anyone ever bought lights from aquatrader.com? r the lights any good because the prices seem a little too good to be true.

yes i have actually. They are extremly cheaply made, but still functional. The major problem with the one I got what that it uses straight pinned bulbs not square pinned. Straight pins are almost impossible to find so good luck if one bulb burns out. OF COURSE...one of the bulbs in mine broke in shipping...thats how I know how freaking hard it is to find a replacement

Moreover, once I bought a quality bulb to replace the broken one...the quality difference was REALLY obvious...the two sides of the tank (bulb it came with vs. new bulb) looked completely different as far as light spectrum...it was BBBAAADDDD. The fish freaking changed color as they swam across the tank!
I've also heard that another reason aquatraders is so cheap is because the fixtures aren't UL approved...so just pray they don't burn your house down....
