Aqueon 2400 circulation pump

I'am in the market looking for a circulation pump for my 135g fresh water tank, i just wanted to know if any one has try the (aqueon 2400gph $64). I'am also looking at the (cora life circulation pump 2900gph $90) or (koralia magnum 2800gph $100) i guess the aqueon is a great price but i hav'nt heard any reviews on it. Can any body help.

I doubt you need that much flow even on such a large tank. That style of pump (propeller rather than impeller) spreads out the jet a lot more but it is still a huge amount of water. Are you trying to create river-like conditions for the inhabitants or just keep the water cleaner? If the latter, all you need is enough flow to keep particles and waste suspended in the water so the actual filter can pick it up more efficiently.


Koralias are generally well reviewed, the others are unknowns to me (big name brands but unfamiliar with those specific products).
